The UAE has a special place in history, as it is only 45 years old! While it may be young in international standards, the country, especially the youth, take immense pride in its local history. One of the major cultural and tourist locales in the UAE is the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, one of the most stunning mosques I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. Day and night, the most is a spectacle (and an instagrammers dream). Islam plays a very prominent role in the culture of the UAE and is a beautiful religion. The youth in the UAE have learned to find a very unique balance of life, while adhering to appropriate traditions. Hi everyone! Today I want to show you places that are really close to my heart as I had some of my biggest successes in tennis there. This is probably a perfect place to play tennis - Rafael Nadal won his first Futures tournament #IdeaProkomOpen in Sopot at the age of 18. Here you have some sense of Trojmiasto, which is an urban agglomeration composed of three different cities: #Gdańsk, #Gdynia and #Sopot. Those cities weren’t touched by the war as much as other places in Poland and you can still appreciate amazing architecture and monuments. Trojmiasto is really focused on the youth and a lot of youth choose to come here for the summer. They organize music and film festivals. 1 - Monument of #Neptun at the Old Town Square in Gdańsk 2 - Training Ship of the #Polish Navy named “Gift of Youth” in Gdynia. Gdynia and Gdansk have some museums that are located on ships. 3 - As you can see the sea can be a magical place during wintertime. Here is Sopot. I went there for the tournament few years ago and it was an amazing experience to walk on the frozen sea. My grandparents used to tell me stories that when they were young you could actually walk “on the sea” and during the Middle Ages it was possible to go from Poland to Sweden through the frozen sea. 4 - You can find a lot of fishing boats on the beach. Hello #GlobalYoungVoices followers! My name is Marta and this coming week I’ll show you a bit of #Poland. It’s an amazing country with diverse nature. As summer came and beautiful sunny days have begun, here I present a few pictures of Mazury Lakes. Since I was one I have spent all my summers there and I never found it boring, not even for a single moment. A great number of Polish youth charter sailing boats or spent their vacations on sailing camps. My family owns a boat which you can see in the first picture. The best part of sailing is that you sleep every night in a different place and you can choose if you want to stay at the pier in the town with delicious regional food or near the wild shore where in some places you can meet wild horses. As there are not many towns in the Mazury region and the sky is black during the nights it makes it a perfect place for stargazing and watching the Rain of Perseids which happens on August 12th every summer. Hello again from Spain! This picture shows the little vegetable garden that my dad grows in our country house in Santa Cristina D’Aro, a little town an hour away from Barcelona. In Spain, it is becoming a big trend to grow one’s own vegetables at home, not only in the country but also in the city in small terraces. This is a great way to eat fresh and healthy produce. Hello #GYV followers! My name is Ariadna and I will be showing you around #Spain, my home country! I was lucky enough to make a trip to Ibiza and Formentera last week, two of the islands of the Balearic Island group in the Mediterranean Sea, a group of Spanish islands less than a flight's hour away from my home city, Barcelona. This beach is Ses Illetes Beach in Formentera, the island known for being the prettiest but most expensive. However, you can manage to get around on a young student budget. He implanted an antenna to his skull to receive sound waves. He was officially recognized by the #UK as a cyborg citizen in 2004 and looking into applying for a #Swedish citizenship, since his antenna is produced in #Sweden. First opened to the public in 1961, the Sursock mansion, located in the heart of Ashrafieh, served as Beirut's undisputed cultural hub until civil war broke in 1975.
