Millennial Tips: How to make the most of your year

We’re only a few days into 2017 and there’s still plenty of room to think your year through, evaluate past events and pave the way for new heights. And as usual, we’re here to help you get the very best of it!

It’s the perfect time of year to rethink your social media presence and maybe undertake a few cleanups here and there in case you don’t manage to mine through your entire social media past. The principle is simple: wipe out whatever you don’t need or doesn’t reflect your present self. No mercy!

Your phone planner is great and all but there’s something just fulfilling about writing down your tasks, reminders and short-term goals and then cross them out gloriously once they’re done. All you need is a personalized notebook and a pen (and maybe some highlighters to fancy it up).

Just like you filter down your social media, you most probably need to so the same with your physical surrounding. Cut down on spending (more like wasting) time with people who only bother you without adding any value to your life and invest your saved energy in quality time with those you genuinely admire/need.

As a perpetually connected generation, we millennials often tend to evaluate the quality of our life against lavish social media depictions which is not only unrealistic but also toxic on the long run. Redirect time spent on social media towards self-development and you might actually achieve a better lifestyle than what you see on there.

As much as it’s important to spend time with other people, do not slip into the habit of sacrificing your alone time just to please society. You need to sustain your relationship with yourself first in order to be able to weave meaningful connections with people in your surrounding.

No more observing your life from a distance like a helpless victim of ‘circumstances’. Time to get your hands dirty and start digging into your personal brand and future, both online and offline.

Work on something you’ve always wanted to attempt but never got the chance to. Add some salt and pepper on top and you’re good to go!
