Snapchat video views have reached 8 billion per day, Fortune Magazine said, and Facebook is wavering along such exorbitant values as well.

Meanwhile, YouTube is also exploding, increasing its views by 40 percent year on year since 2014 and an expected 500 hours of videos being uploaded every minute in 2016. This comes by no surprise given the rise of mega-fast Internet connection and powerful smartphones of which the most primal purpose, placing phone calls, has been humbled to a small percentage of the time spent using it.

Is video going to be 2016's IT thing? Only time will tell but this data seems promising.
