How to Reveal the Genius in You
According to Seth Godin, common thought considers genius anyone who looks at "something that others are stuck on and gets the world unstuck".
Einstein for example, fathomed that Newtonian mechanics were no longer consistent in reconciling the laws of classical mechanics with those of the electromagnetic field. From there, he went on to devise what is now known as the theory of relativity. He filled the gap with his magical talent.
In the new world of work though, geniuses are not necessarily individuals who were born gifted. On the contrary, they are people who have recognized that a new kind of work is important, and trained themselves to do it, thus becoming a unique, indispensable part of their society or organization.
