Ever Seen Obama's "Anger Translator"?
At the White House Correspondents' Dinner held in Washington on April 25th 2015, President Obama introduced a surprise guest to his audience: "I invited Luther, my anger translator, to join me here tonight," he said.
In case you don't know who Luther is, he is famous for his role on Key & Peele, a US sketch comedy show created by Keegan-Michael Key (the "anger translator") and Jordan Peele.
President Obama is a recurring sketch in this program, which, by the way, won the 2013 Peabody Award, and was nominated for both the 2013 Writers Guild Award and the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
In season 5, aired on July 8th 2015, Obama and Luther reappeared, but they were not the highlight of the season. Hillary Clinton's anger translator, Savannah, was what really stole the show! This is the awaited scene when Obama and Clinton meet:
Obama: “It’s always good to see you.”
Luther: “I pretended to like you for seven years!”
Clinton: “Good to see you too, Mr. President.”
Savannah: “My hatred for you is a pure force of nature that is going to move me onward to my destiny.”
