The two hemispheres of the brain appear to be similar in structure, but each one fulfills different functions and has categorical characteristics.
Just like being right or left-handed, a person can tend to use one hemisphere more than another, having different skills and preferences that are more one-sided.
In fact, right-brain people are known for being impulsive and rather spontaneous. They are also artistic and can be more emotional. Left-brainers are rational, methodological and prefer planning every little detail. They are considered to be way too organized compared to right-brainers.
